The publication recounts the film and speaker series Curing Normality, marking the 40th anniversary of the decriminalization of male homosexuality in Norway, curated by the queer-feminist platform FRANK. Postscript on Curing Normality features a talk given by Gerd Brantenberg, an introduction by Sille Storihle and archival footage tracing "homosexual life" in Norway since 1972.
Gerd Brantenberg is a feminist author who has criticized patriarchy, heteronormative society and capitalism for the last three decades. She published her first book, Opp alle jordens homofile, in 1973 where she satirically describes life as a homosexual in the 1960s. In 1977, Brantenberg published Egalias Døtre, a book that became Norway's largest international success in the 1970s and 1980s.
